“Friday Night Lights”: Season 3

Tags: , , ,

If you’re a fan of good television, chances are you’re already watching Friday Night Lights; if you’re not, shame on you. The show’s second season ended prematurely due to the writer’s strike, and during the lull that preceded the third season, Andrew Johnston, the usual reviewer of Friday Night Lights for The House Next Door, passed away.

Thanks to the generosity of the site’s editor, Keith Uhlich, I’ve taken over writing privileges in Andrew’s memory, and for the past 13 weeks I’ve been recapping and reviewing each episode. If you read this site, you know I’m not good at posting content regularly, so to write a 1,800-3,200 word piece on a weekly schedule is a big step forward for me. It was a growing experience, to say the least, but I anticipate reviewing Season 4.

Below are the links to each Friday Night Lights Season 3 episode recap.

  1. “I Knew You When”
  2. “Tami Knows Best”
  3. “How the Other Half Live”
  4. “Hello, Goodbye”
  5. “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”
  6. “It Ain’t Easy Being J.D. McCoy”
  7. “Keeping Up Appearances” (Season’s Worst)
  8. “New York, New York”
  9. “Game of the Week”
  10. “The Giving Tree”
  11. “A Hard Rain’s Gonna Fall”
  12. “Underdogs” (Season’s Best)
  13. “Tomorrow Blues”
